Audi urban concept (2011)

Audi is once again opening up new horizons: the Audi urban concept is a 1+1-seat, ultra-light car for congested urban spaces. The technical study, which will be shown at the Frankfurt Auto Show (IAA) 2011, does not fit under any of the conventional categories – the Audi urban concept combines elements of a racing car, a fun car and an urban car into one radical new concept.

Audi is opening the next chapter in its successful history in the mid-size segment with the new A5 family. Thirty years after the first Audi A4, the sharpened design language of the latest generation, now called the Audi A5, impresses with its premium proportions. Both body styles, Sedan and Avant, perfectly embody the sporty essence of the Audi design philosophy. A new design language in the interior creates a generous feeling of space, placing the displays on a digital stage. A new operating concept increases interaction with the vehicle. Efficient, partially electrified combustion engines and evocative S models round off the range.

The Audi Q6 e-tron is the first production model on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and is, therefore, the new reference for Vorsprung durch Technik. The new model is not only characterized by impressive driving and charging performance but also sets standards in terms of range and efficiency. The exterior is characterized by powerful SUV design with perfect proportions and further developed elements typical of electric vehicles from Audi. The new design philosophy in the interior and pioneering technologies making their debut in the model open the next chapter of electric mobility at Audi and make Vorsprung durch Technik a tangible experience every day.
