Featuring UEFA Champions League, the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, American sports like NFL and NBA, and handball and golf: Audi is expanding its Audi Application Store offer to include the DAZN app, bringing the sports streaming service into the vehicle – with Audi as the first automaker ever to do so. Sports fans can experience the content both on the MMI touch display and MMI passenger display. The DAZN app is now available in the new models of the Audi A5, Audi Q5, Audi A6, Audi A6 e-tron, and Audi Q6 e-tron series via the Audi Application Store.

Audi enhances voice control in current and future models with ChatGPT

Audi is implementing the AI-based chatbot ChatGPT via Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service in its infotainment system to enhance its vehicles' voice control capabilities. From July this year, owners of around two million Audi models made since 2021 and equipped with the third-generation modular infotainment system (MIB 3) will be able to interact with their car using natural language and listen to the information they would like to know while driving. New vehicles such as the Q6 e-tron and future models with the E3 1.2 electronics architecture will receive ChatGPT via Cerence Chat Pro as an extension of the Audi assistant.

The new Audi E³ 1.2 electronic architecture brings “Vorsprung durch Technik” to life

With the launch of Premium Platform Electric (PPE), Audi is introducing a completely new electronics architecture. The E³ will be used for the first time in the 1.2 specification in the Audi Q6 e-tron series. The name E³ stands for end-to-end electronic architecture. Its core element consists of five high-performance computers (high-performance computing platform, HCP) that cover all vehicle functions – from the drive system and assistance systems to the infotainment and comfort systems to the safety systems and backend connectivity.

Software update: Audi offers new, high-value features for the Audi Q4 e-tron

Audi is continuing to systematically advance the Q4 e-tron and Q4 Sportback e-tron. This new software comes now as standard in series production for the current 2023 model year. Audi integrates store for apps into various models

As of summer 2023, Audi is bringing a store for apps to selected models with the third-generation modular infotainment toolkit (MIB 3). With the embedding of the store, which was jointly developed with Volkswagen subsidiary CARIAD, customers can directly and intuitively access popular third-party apps through the Multimedia Interface (MMI) by means of a data link in the vehicle. The apps selected by the customer can be installed in the MMI system seamlessly – without the need for a detour via a smartphone.

A showcase becomes a reality: Audi brings VR experience platform to CES 2023

The brand with the four rings has delivered. At the 2019 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Audi announced it would transform its vehicles into an experience platform for virtual reality (VR). Selected models have been “holoride-ready” since the summer. Audi will return to CES Las Vegas from January 4 to 6, 2023, to offer media professionals and trade show visitors current content and a new VR game through “experience rides”. Following the launch in Germany, the VR entertainment offering will become available in other European markets next year.

Audi and 4.screen agree on a partnership with the objective of enhancing the future in-car experience. At launch, Audi customers will benefit from even more comprehensive information on points of interest (POI) using real-time data from the Munich-based technology company’s Mobility Experience Cloud (MXC). If desired, they can choose to receive relevant, location-based, personalized offers from selected third-party providers conveniently via the Multi Media Interface (MMI). Beginning in the summer of 2022, Audi will become the first manufacturer to transform the automobile into an experience platform for virtual reality

Audi is the first automobile manufacturer in the world to bring virtual-reality entertainment from holoride into series production. Beginning this summer, back seat passengers can put on virtual reality glasses (VR glasses)* and immerse themselves in various media formats such as games, films and interactive content. The main attraction: The virtual content adapts to the driving movements of the car in real time. From June 2022, Audi models with the latest upgrade of the modular infotainment toolkit (MIB 3) will be holoride-capable. The new technology will be introduced at the South by Southwest® (SXSW) festival in the United States. Visitors there will be able to experience holoride in a moving vehicle.

In late July 2021, a new German law went into effect that will allow fully automated vehicles* to drive regularly in public traffic within designated areas of operation in the future.
