Superstar Harry Kane, Germany’s captain Joshua Kimmich, head coach Vincent Kompany, and goalkeeper Manuel Neuer will drive an Audi SQ8 SUVe-tron. German international Jamal Musiala has opted for an Audi Q6 SUVe-tron while rising star Aleksandar Pavlović has chosen an Audi Q4 e-tron: FC Bayern Munich players, coaches, and officials receive their new company cars for the current soccer season. The fleet has consisted entirely of all-electric vehicles since 2020. Like central defender Dayot Upamecano, the assistant coaches have chosen the Audi SQ6 SUVe-tron. Among its standout features, the sporty sibling of the Q6 SUVe-tron boasts a range of up to 598 kilometers and offers impressive charging performance. With the Q6 e-tron series, electric mobility is rolling off the line in Ingolstadt for the first time. Another popular model is the Audi RS e-tron GT performance, which will be driven this season by players such as Thomas Müller, Konrad Laimer, and Leon Goretzka. Mythos Black Metallic and Daytona Gray Pearl Effect are among the most popular colors. A hint of match-day excitement at the Audi Piazza Match day announcer Stephan Lehmann welcomes the players from Germany’s record championship club on their arrival on the FC Bayern team bus. Audi CEO and FCB Supervisory Board Member Gernot Döllner emphasizes the importance of the long-standing partnership: “FC Bayern has been a strong partner at our side for over 22 years. We share the high standards we set for ourselves and the goal of being at the top of our respective fields.
Brilliant: fully electric Sportback with an evocative, dynamic exterior and a spacious interior Efficient: aerodynamic body design enables a range of up to 656 kilometers Attractive: entry-level variant with an 83-kWh battery as an additional option for the electric model family in the premium mid-range segment
Audi is expanding its electric model portfolio with the Q6 Sportback e-tron, one of the most popular body designs among customers. The powerful and iconic SUV design typical of Audi in the Q6 SUVe-tron is complemented by the essence of a Sportback’s features. The near-perfect proportions are even more evident. The result is a more progressive and sportier silhouette that will appeal especially to design-oriented customers. The Q6 Sportback e-tron, which features the familiar strengths of the PPE in terms of performance, range, efficiency, and charging, is yet another example of the scalability of the Premium Platform Electric. Thanks to its dynamic rear and the resulting aerodynamic benefits, the Q6 Sportback e-tron performance is the range champion in the Q6 series, with a range of up to 656 kilometers.
Audi will unveil the Q6 Sportback e-tron to the global public for the first time at the Paris Motor Show 2024. “The new model demonstrates the versatility of our new generation of electric vehicles,” said Gernot Döllner, CEO of AUDI AG. “The Sportback variant is the next step in the expansion of our electric model portfolio. The Audi Q6 Sportback e-tron combines the strengths of our new electric models – efficiency, range, and performance – with the evocative, functional design of its distinct body.” The dynamic-looking Sportback combines the spaciousness of an SUV with the elegance of a coupé.
The Audi Q6 e-tron shines with the top rating of “five stars” and “Best in Class” for child safety in the Euro NCAP test On October 14, Audi will present the Sportback version of the Q6 e-tron model series at the Paris Motor Show 2024
The renowned European consumer protection organization Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) has awarded the Audi Q6 e-tron the top rating of “five stars”. The vehicle was assessed in the categories “protection of adult occupants”, “child safety”, “protection of vulnerable road users”, and “assistance systems available as standard” and achieved excellent results in all test categories.
The testers from Euro NCAP rated the “protection of adult occupants” at 91 percent, which is almost full marks and offers optimal protection. For the first time in an Audi model, “post-crash functions” (including rescue data sheets for emergency services and e-call) were assessed, with the Audi Q6 e-tron scoring very well. With a rating of 92 percent in the child safety category, the Audi Q6 e-tron model family is currently “Best in Class” among all vehicles tested so far in 2023 and 2024. Features that go beyond requirements and consumer protection also contribute to this. For example, the Q6 e-tron is one of the few models in the vehicle segment to have three “i-Size seats”, two in the rear and one in the front passenger seat. “i-Size” is a European safety standard for child seats that was introduced in 2013 and ensures unrestricted compatibility between child seat and vehicle. The front passenger seat in the Q6 e-tron is equipped with automatic deactivation of the front passenger airbag for rear-facing child seats; the car virtually “comprehends” when it must turn them off. The restraint systems have been further improved for use with child seats and offer optimal protection for children of all sizes.
The Audi brand accounted for 1,235,590 (-10.9 percent) vehicles delivered, including 115,788 e-cars (-5.9 percent). The reduction is primarily due to challenging market and competitive conditions, and limited parts availability. Audi has already introduced 15 new models in 2024, with more to follow this year and in 2025. The new vehicles – including the Audi A5 and Q5 families based on the new combustion engine platform Premium Platform Combustion – will only have a noticeable impact on volumes in the coming year. CEO Gernot Döllner: “We are positioning Audi in such a way that we can once again achieve the extraordinary” “We are picking up speed in a tougher competitive environment and bringing the numerous model launches to the road in Audi quality,” says CEO Gernot Döllner. Following the Audi A6 e-tron, the Audi A5 family, and the Audi Q5 SUV in the summer, the company will introduce the Audi Q5 Sportback in November and the Audi A7 in early 2025. “We are expanding and rejuvenating our portfolio with these models. In addition to the numerous model launches, we are clearly focusing on lean structures and driving change within the company with the Audi Agenda.” With the realignment of Technical Development, the model series and the product strategy, Audi has laid the foundation for further organizational changes, Döllner continues. “We are positioning Audi in such a way that we can once again achieve the extraordinary.” Deliveries in Europe, the USA and China In Europe, the Audi brand delivered 503,746 cars from January to September this year, 9.8 percent fewer than in the same period last year. The decrease in e-cars was significantly lower: Audi handed over 71,998 all-electric vehicles to customers (-4.6 percent). The number of e-models delivered increased in Italy (+26.4 percent), France (+8.3 percent), and the United Kingdom (+4.1 percent). In the USA, Audi delivered 139,665 vehicles (-16.8 percent), including 16,558 e-cars (-6.1 percent).
The brand with the four rings will present the third generation of its most popular SUV on September 2. An exclusive preview is now available.
Audi is continuing its model campaign. “The Audi Q5 has represented the success of Audi for more than 15 years,” says CEO Gernot Döllner. “With the third generation of our most successful SUV, we will now begin rejuvenating our SUV portfolio with efficient combustion engine models and hybrid versions.” Audi will launch more than 20 new models in 2024 and 2025 – over 10 of them electric. This year, the new electric models commenced with the Audi Q6 e-tron in the spring and the Audi A6 e-tron in late July. At the same time, the company is rejuvenating its portfolio with combustion engine models like the A5 family unveiled in July. Notice for the editors: All information, images, and videos related to the new Audi Q5 model series will be available in the Audi MediaCenter from September 2.
The new model year brings a brand-new exterior package option for the Audi Q8 SUVe-tron and Q8 Sportback e-tron The S line competition exterior package takes the dynamic appearance of the Q8 e-tron models to a new level Carbon fiber-reinforced polymer add-on parts are also available for the Audi SQ8 e-tron family as part of the Carbon Style package
Audi’s Q8 e-tron models are about to become even more sporty and dynamic: The S line competition exterior package enhances the electric luxury models’ dynamics and emphasizes the Q8 family’s sporty character. The package includes specific body components such as a widened body (similar to the S model), a body-color Singleframe, and exclusive 21-inch five-spoke black wheels. Painted brake calipers with the S logo, a host of carbon-fiber details, and an edition-specific door LED projection add further striking accents. The carbon add-on parts are also available for the Audi SQ8 e-tron family as part of the new Carbon Style package.
Like its predecessor, the Audi e-tron, the Audi Q8 e-tron is a pioneer of German premium electric mobility. To make the customization options for the successful electric full-size SUV even more attractive, Audi is offering the Audi Q8 e-tron with a new, sportier exterior package as part of the model upgrade for the 2025 model year. The S line competition exterior package for the Audi Q8 e-tron is based on the substantially wider body of the S models, which gives the Audi Q8 e-tron models significantly more presence and dynamics. The S line competition exterior further sharpens the models: As a distinctive detail, the package includes an exclusive body-color Singleframe that gives the car greater individuality and character. Exclusive 21-inch light-alloy wheels The wheel design is another exclusive highlight of the S line competition exterior package: The 21-inch wheels in a five-spoke design come in black and emphasize the sporty and individual appearance of the Audi Q8 e-tron*.
The fluid combination of bends that follows is pure joy: their sometimes challenging profile makes the roads between Bilbao and San Sebastián ideal for experiencing the character of the new Audi Q6 e-tron. The agility of the electric SUV, due in part to the precise and sporty steering and the harmonious power delivery of the electric motors, comes into its own on the roads in northern Spain. The suspension, tuned in line with the Audi DNA, offers comfort but also conveys a sporty dynamism – especially in the Audi SQ6 e-tron. The diverse routes with their differences in altitude and going through towns enable drivers to experience the high recuperation power of up to 220 kW in an impressive way. Just like the sophisticated thermal management system, this contributes significantly to the efficiency of the first model on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE).
Optimized driving dynamics The kinematically refined axles of the Audi Q6 e-tron provide true driving dynamics. The result: noticeably more agility and improved steering behavior. The completely redesigned front axle has a significant influence on the driving dynamics. For the first time in an Audi, the control arms are arranged in front of the suspension arms. The steering is now rigidly bolted to the subframe. In conjunction with the new front axle, new software modules provide the driver with significantly improved feedback on the current driving and road conditions at all times via the steering wheel and support the agility of the vehicle.
The world premiere of the Audi Q6 e-tron in spring gave the green light for Audi’s model initiative: In 2024 and 2025 alone, Audi will launch more than 20 new models – over ten of them are all-electric. CEO Gernot Döllner talks about the model launches in the coming weeks and shares a first look at the new Audi A5.
A future-proof portfolio “Over the coming years, we will expand our range of electric models step by step. At the same time, we will rejuvenate our portfolio of models with combustion engines. This will give us a robust and flexible position as we transition to an all-electric portfolio.” Upcoming model launches “In just a few days, we will introduce the next model family: the Audi A5. The Audi A6 e-tron will follow in late July, and the new Audi Q5 in fall.” Audi A5 – Modern sportiness meets premium proportions “The new Audi A5 family will celebrate its world premiere on July 16 and represents the beginning of the next generation of combustion engines, which will be more efficient thanks to partially electric driving.” Audi A6 e-tron – Rethinking the upper mid-size segment “The A6 e-tron is the first electric Audi available to our customers as a Sportback and Avant at market launch. Its striking design and outstanding performance, efficiency, and range offer plenty of reasons to switch to electric mobility now.” Audi Q5 – Third-generation recipe for success “The Audi Q5 has represented the success of Audi for over 15 years. With the third generation of our most successful SUV, we will begin rejuvenating our SUV portfolio with combustion engines and partially electrified versions in fall.” Vorsprung durch Technik “We have a clear vision for redefining “Vorsprung durch Technik”, focused on design, UI/UX, driving dynamics, and efficiency. With our new Q6 e-tron, A6 e-tron, A5, and Q5 models, we’re leaving no room for doubt about the direction we’re headed.”
