The focus of Audi's activities for media representatives at IAA Mobility will be the revolutionary cockpit and interior of the Q6 e-tron including a completely new display and operating concept. In Munich, Audi's first all-electric model based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) will make an appearance as part of the Group Media Night to kick off the show and on the Summit press day at the trade fair. At the Open Space area, which is open to the public, Audi will showcase its EV fleet and the electric concept car Audi activesphere concept. The fifth Audi charging hub will also open in Munich.
How the interior of the Audi Q6 e-tron applies the brand’s new design philosophy in series production
Designed from the inside out: The interior of the new Audi Q6 e-tron model series is tailored more closely than ever to the user’s needs and has been reimagined accordingly. For example, the three-dimensional, high-contrast design deliberately places elements in the foreground or background, creating a three-dimensional spatial architecture with aesthetics and ergonomics perfectly tuned to the occupants. The Audi Q6 e-tron is the first model series based on the newly developed Premium Platform Electric (PPE) and the new E3 electronics architecture. Both serve as the basis for rethinking the interior’s design and range of functions. Technology and aesthetics are in perfect balance in the Audi Q6 e-tron. Audi is opening its third charging hub: Following on from the Nuremberg and Zurich locations, the brand with the four rings now turns to a local partner company in Berlin, using the existing power supply there.
Press Release: Quick charging in downtown Berlin: Latest Audi charging hub uses existing infrastructure Audi is opening its third charging hub: Following on from the Nuremberg and Zurich locations, the brand with the four rings now turns to a local partner company in Berlin, using the existing power supply there. The neighboring Frischeparadies, with its attractive shopping market and gourmet bistro, is acting as a cooperation partner and providing its power connection for use by the hub. In the future, Frischeparadies and the Audi charging hub will get their power from a shared power line, on a needs- and load-oriented basis.
Double interview: “Electrifying” opportunities instead of charging boredom: New Audi charging hub in downtown Berlin The brand with the four rings is opening a third Audi charging hub right in the center of Berlin. In the German capital, as in Nuremberg and Zurich, second-life batteries will act as buffer storage, and, like Zurich, the compact Audi charging hub with four quick-charging points will be used. At the site in Prenzlauer Berg, however, Audi is taking a different approach to the power hookup.
Range, charging performance, and in-car display are among the decisive factors in fulfilling this basic need.
The Audi TechDay Charging Experience will show how we give our customers an integrated experience through technical expertise, a sophisticated battery concept, and a reliable remaining range display. It begins in our battery testing center in Gaimersheim and our know-how in the design, development, and control of battery cells. To give customers a taste of premium charging, the Audi charging hub in Nuremberg will demonstrate that the future belongs to reservable high-power charging in urban spaces. For that reason, we are planning additional sites. Finally, customers will experience first-hand through the remaining range display in our e-tron models that reliability is our top priority and an intelligent algorithm makes all the difference.

An ideal basis for planning: Range display in Audi electric cars gives a reliable picture Whether you’re driving around the corner, commuting to work, or going on vacation: When you’re on the road in an electric car, reliable range indications form the basis for planning all your mobility needs. Statutory test cycles as the basis for range indication can only serve as a general guide for planning since, in practice, range is impacted by numerous parameters. In addition to external factors such as congestion, route topography, or outside temperatures, driver-specific influences including individual driving style or the use of comfort features also play an important role. The remaining range display in the all-electric e-tron models from Audi passes this test in flying colors by factoring in all relevant parameters and providing a realistic picture. On top of that, the route planner ensures that any necessary charging stops on the trip are ideally planned into the route.
Audi is on its way to becoming a provider of sustainable mobility and is optimizing all links in its value chain to achieve this. At Spotlight Sustainability, Oliver Hoffmann, Member of the Board of Management for Development, presents the premium manufacturer's ambitious goals, the measures it is taking to achieve these and the brand's progress on the road to transformation. He explains, for example, why Audi is cooperating with energy suppliers.
Audi on the road to climate-neutral mobility
Production of Audi’s final new combustion engine model will start in just four years. Beginning in 2026, the premium brand will only release models onto the market that are powered purely by electricity. The manufacturer will phase out production of internal combustion engines by 2033. In order to become a leading provider of net-zero carbon mobility, Audi is also optimizing every link in its value chain and, moreover, committing itself to the expansion of renewable energy. On the “Sustainability” theme day at Audi Media Days prior to the IAA, the company presented, among other things, its vision of a climate-neutral factory and showed how sustainability is implemented in the supply chain.
Upcycling at Audi: a new lease on life for packaging
A new pilot project being implemented at Audi’s Neckarsulm site, among other initiatives, highlights just how important the sustainable use of resources is to the company. At this location, Audi produces 3D-printed assembly aids for vehicle production – and as of recently, from waste that is generated right there on site. These assembly aids are not only made of recycled material, they also promote ergonomic and safe work processes and are tailored precisely to the requirements of the employees. As such, the project is helping the company achieve the objectives of its cross-site environmental program “Mission:Zero.”
