2023: Combined Annual and Sustainability Report
The individual software components are developed by CARIAD and customized for each specific model by Audi. The infotainment system in the Audi Q6 e-tron integrates the customers’ own digital world, making use of Android Automotive OS as its operating system for the first time. Content is updated over the air. The latest Audi connect services and the enhanced standard e-tron route planner are thus always up to date. Apps such as YouTube are available via the store for third-party apps, which is integrated directly into the MMI and does not require a smartphone for use. And the new dis‑ play and operating concept allows users to experience these functions intensively. The Audi Q6 e-tron is the first model to feature an active digital light signature. This gives the headlights and rear lights a lifelike appearance through movement. At the front end, the active digital light signature is created with 12 segments that dim up or down. At the rear, six OLED panels with a total of 360 segments generate a new image every 10 milli‑ seconds using a specially developed algorithm. Customers can choose from up to eight optional light signatures to customize the appearance of their Audi Q6 e-tron. This is possible via the MMI and, for the first time, via the myAudi app. The second generation of the innovative digital OLED technology not only shapes the look of the new Audi models, it also increases their range of functions many times over. This also improves road safety, as impressively demonstrated by the communication light in the digital OLED rear lights 2.0. The proximity indication function already familiar from other Audi models is being extended in the new Q6 e-tron to include the communication light.
Audi Tradition - Anniversary Dates 2024
As well as featuring innovations like the four-link front axle or new five-valve petrol engines, it also succeeded in reversing the spiralling trend for increased weight. Every version of the A4 was much lighter than the previous model. Audi A4 Years 30 Audi Tradition 7 Anniversary Dates 2024 Years 30 Following the unveiling of the Audi A8 and the high- volume Audi A4 model, the previous Audi 100 series was also renamed the Audi A6. Although the main body was unchanged, the product was upgraded with newly designed bumpers, a new front apron, headlamp lenses that were bevelled towards the radiator grille, new indicator lights and tail lights. All models were given extra indicator lights on the side of the front fender. The side trims, door handles, external mirrors and bumpers were painted in the same colour as the car. The launch of the A6 series also heralded the end of the era of five-cylinder petrol engines. Only the five- cylinder turbo engine in the Audi S6 was retained in the range until production ended. One year after the market launch, the A6 was given newly developed, more powerful four and six-cylinder, five-valve engines with a variable-length intake manifold and, with the four-cylinder engine, variable camshaft adjustment. Almost 291,000 of the fourth C-series generation were made before the factory holidays in August 1997. Audi A6 Audi Tradition 8 Anniversary Dates 2024 At the Geneva Motor Show in March 1994, AUDI AG presented the Audi A8, its new model in the premium segment. By unveiling this car, Audi once again demonstrated the company’s capacity for innovation in the field of automotive engineering. After many years of development, it had managed to put the Audi A8 into production with a fully aluminium body. The body was based on the Audi Space Frame (ASF). This was a frame structure for the body on which individual extruded profiles were joined together by die-cast nodes.

The powertrains containing hydraulic oil are equipped with drip pans. 3_Body Shop In the body shop,, the individual parts produced in the press shop are joined together by robots in an almost entirely automated process to form the body shell. Different joining methods such as bonding, welding, crimp sealing, riveting, etc. are used here. Each joining method has its specific advantages for enabling maximum strength with minimum body weight. Environmental aspects in the body shop Unhardened adhesives, emissions of dust and hazardous materials from the grinding and welding processes as well as noise from manufacturing equipment and ventilation systems. High economic efficiency and an increase in quality are achieved through the use of operating facilities driven by electric and servo motors. These are more efficient and allow more precise adjustment. As a result of the conversion to such energy-efficient operating facilities, it has been possible to reduce the energy requirement and therefore also CO₂ emissions. 4_Paint Shop In the paint shop, the bodies made of steel and aluminum receive their protective and colored surface. First of all, they are cleaned and degreased. In the next step, paint layers that provide protection against corrosion and rock chips are applied in immersion baths or sprayed on. Additional coats of paint then provide the color and sealing. Environmental aspects in the paint shop Process waters containing heavy metals, solvent emissions and paint sludge. First, the heavy metals are removed from the process wastewater in a preliminary process and then treated with membrane bioreactor in the plant’s own wastewater treatment facility so that the majority of the water can be reused in the plant as process water. Solvent elements in the exhaust air are removed in thermal post-combustion systems. The resulting waste heat is then used to dry the bodies after painting.

Safer on the road – thanks to digital features The augmented reality head-up display in the Audi Q4 e-tron family is designed not for entertainment, but for safety and comfort. Augmented reality (AR) means that the real world, the viewer’s visual perception, is supplemented by digital elements. The AR head-up display from Audi displays important information on the windshield in the driver’s field of vision. The information provided by selected assist systems and the turning arrows of the navigation system are visually superimposed in the corresponding place on the real-life outside world and displayed dynamically. They float virtually at a distance of about ten meters in front of the driver. The displays can thus be read in a flash and increase both driving comfort and safety, making them extremely helpful, especially in poor visibility conditions. New functions through connectivity Audi is fully focused on connecting the vehicle with its environment (car-to-x services). In many new models, more than 10 invisibly integrated antennas transmit and receive audio, LTE, Bluetooth and GPS signals, enabling Audi to offer new services and functions. For example, drivers can be advised of the nearest available parking space in the city center (on-street parking via Audi connect) or the nearest available charging station (Audi e-tron route service) or receive early warnings of dangers such as black ice (hazard alerts), since the vehicle can use the Audi fleet’s swarm intelligence. The increasing digitalization of the model series also makes the service “functions on demand” possible, giving customers the chance to add selected optional extras in the areas of driver assistance, lighting or infotainment retrospectively and thus to respond flexibly to changing needs. In this way, they can upgrade the LED headlights to matrix LED headlights with intelligent high-beam control, for example.

Audi Report 2021
The Audi Group anticipates – based in part on estimates by leading economic research institutes – that the global economy will continue to grow in 2022, assuming lasting containment of the coronavirus pandemic and that shortages of primary products and raw materials are overcome. Risks continue to be seen in protectionist tendencies, turbulence in financial markets and structural deficits in individual countries. Moreover, growth prospects will be negatively affected by continuing geopolitical tension and conflicts, in particular the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. Furthermore, the Audi Group assumes a clearly positive economic trend in both advanced economies and emerging markets. For 2022, Audi expects the passenger car markets to develop at different rates in the various regions. Overall, worldwide demand for new vehicles is expected to be moderately higher than in the year under review, but will probably not yet reach pre-pandemic levels. In Europe, the Audi Group expects new passenger car registrations in 2022 to be significantly higher than in the previous year. Audi also expects new registrations on the US market for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles to be slightly higher. The car market in China, too, is expected to develop favorably, with a slightly higher volume than in the previous year. Slight year-on-year growth is also expected for the international motorcycle markets above 500 cc. Outlook for 2022³¹ The continued impact of the coronavirus pandemic and the supply shortages for primary products and raw materials are currently making forecasting more difficult. Subject to this reservation, the Audi Board of Management is looking to 2022 with confidence, primarily due to the high level of incoming orders enue of between EUR 62 and 65 billion is expected. The strong price position should be maintained.

The fabric soft top with a plastic rear window could be rolled up forwards electrically; after detaching a bridge element between the rear lights, the rest of the tailgate could be lowered into the bumper by remote control, leaving clear access to a load platform measuring 160 x 95 cm. In contrast to the four-door prototype, the Al₂ open end version remained a unique specimen. Al and Audi A2 prototypes2 Audi Tradition 5 Anniversary Dates 2022 The Audi A4 saloon was launched on the market in November 1994. A year later there was also an estate version of the successor to the Audi 80. The fifth generation of the B-series was powered by four and six-cylinder petrol engines, along with the tried-andtested four-cylinder TDI. A sporty version in the style of the Audi S2 did not come along until autumn 1996. The top-of-the-range Audi S4 was finally available from September 1997. Equipped with a 195 kW/265 hp V6 biturbo five-valve engine, the saloon and Avant were only available with permanent all-wheel drive. Modified bumpers with enlarged air intakes and side skirts painted in the same colour as the car made what was the sportiest A4 to date stand out from its less powerful basic versions. Six-speed gearboxes, a sports chassis and 17'' wheels were all standard features. From September 1997 until production ended after the 2001 plant holidays, 3,939 S4 saloon cars and 10,156 S4 Avant rolled off the production line. Market launch of Audi S4 (B5) 25 years Audi Tradition 6 Anniversary Dates 2022 Audi presented the new A6 in March 1997 at the Geneva Motor Show. The saloon was available from dealers by May 1997, with the Avant appearing in March of the following year. The fifth generation of the C-series – the former Audi 100 – polarised opinion with its design, which represented a radical departure from the company’s previous standard line.
