Establishment of August Horch Automobilwerke GmbH in Zwickau on July 16, after Horch himself had departed from the original Horch Werke AG
1910
On April 10, change in the new company's name to AUDI Werke GmbH, with head offices in Zwickau, after defeat in a legal dispute (Horch devised the new name by translating his name, which means "hark!", "listen!", into Latin).

On August 20/21, 1928, J.S. Rasmussen acquired a majority share in AUDI Werke AG
