Audi in grid rows four to six
Two of the Audi Sport customer racing teams have qualified in the top ten for round three of the Intercontinental GT Challenge in Suzuka, Japan. As the fastest driver in an Audi R8 LMS, Jake Dennis from the UK achieved eighth for the Audi Sport Team WRT. His compatriot Richard Lyons qualified on ninth place for the Audi Team Hitotsuyama. Drivers from six different manufacturers qualified amongst the top ten. Driving for Audi Sport Team Absolute Racing, Markus Winkelhock posted the eleventh quickest time, with Christopher Mies claiming P18 for the Audi Sport Team WRT. The Pro-Am driver line-up of Absolute Racing takes up the race in another Audi R8 LMS from 27th on the grid. In temperatures exceeding 30 degrees Celsius and extreme humidity, the teams and drivers are expecting a heated race in the truest sense. The Suzuka 10 Hours takes off on Sunday at 10am local time.
