24h Spa (24h): Audi in third place

Podium success at the 24 Hours of Spa: Team Scherer Sport PHX #17 finished third with Luca Engstler, Kelvin van der Linde and Nicki Thiim. The leading group was also close together in the final hours of the race, with only 30 seconds separating the top 5 with 30 minutes to go. Final driver Nicki Thiim was able to fend off some attacks from his pursuer Kévin Estre in the Porsche in the closing stages. Second best Audi team was the #11 of Belgian Audi Sport Team Comtoyou in seventh place ahead of the #40 of Audi Sport Tresor Orange 1, which had led the race at times, in eighth. In the Silver Cup, Audi customer teams achieved a double podium success: second place went to Comtoyou Racing with car number 12, behind which the #26 Saintéloc Junior Team crossed the finish line in third. Comtoyou Racing’s number 21 took third place in the Gold Cup. With third place in the Pro-Am Cup, CSA Racing with #888 also secured a class podium finish.
