Functions on demand offer new functions even after the purchase With functions on demand, Audi customers can easily and simply order additional features for their vehicle after the purchase via the myAudi app or the Audi MMI. Many models have additional functions available in the categories of infotainment, lighting technology, driver assist systems, air conditioning and charging. The new Audi Q6 e-tron, for example, offers about a dozen such upgrade options in Europe. The ecosystem surrounding the car is increasingly becoming a competitive differentiator. “That’s why we’re working intensively on our digital services and are constantly expanding our ecosystem – with a focus on the customer and in typical Audi quality,” says Döllner. The eight-cylinder Audi model was initially powered by a 184 kW (250 hp) 3.6 litre lightalloy engine and impressed with an array of innovative engineering features such as permanent all-wheel drive, four-valve technology and a four-speed, electronically controlled automatic gearbox. More than half a century earlier, the Auto Union brand Horch had previously offered a V8-cylinder engine. The decision was made at Horch in 1932 to develop a “small” V8 Horch that could be offered to discerning premium buyers. Preliminary work on designing a three-litre engine that would produce 62 hp had begun under the former chief engine designer Fritz Fiedler. His successor Werner Strobel made the V8 ready for production. The engine with a 66 degree cylinder angle was first presented in the Horch 830 at the Berlin Motor Show in 1933. The V8 underwent four stages of evolution until the war caused passenger car manufacturing to be stopped, and in its final version the 3.8 litre engine produced 92 hp. Audi V8 35 years Audi Tradition 8 Anniversary Dates 2023 Audi Coupé B3 In September 1988, the engineers from Ingolstadt unveiled the Audi Coupé, which was based on the technology used in the B3 series of the Audi 80/90. The new model entered production in December 1988, initially exclusively with five-cylinder engines. In the years that followed, four and six-cylinder models and a powerful 20-valve turbo engine were added to the engine range. Production of the Audi Coupé ended in December 1995 after seven years and almost 70,000 vehicles being built. 35 years Audi Tradition 9 Anniversary Dates 2023 quattro GmbH was founded in 1983 to protect the name “quattro” and the company’s marketing rights. From 1985, the subsidiary of AUDI AG initially sold high-quality accessories. At the International Motor Show in 1995, quattro GmbH presented the first customised Audi models, including the Audi A8 and the Audi Cabriolet.

This report combines financial perspectives as well as Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) issues in a unique and transparent manner and provides comprehensive information about the company. In the process, it addresses aspects generated on the one hand by stakeholders’1 demands and on the other, by the company’s strategic focal points. In terms of time, the report reviews 2020, takes a look at the Audi situation today and considers what to expect in the near future from Audi. Stakeholder management How does Audi know what people expect from the Four Rings? The company actively involves its stakeholders in its core issues and wants to know their interests and expectations so that it can consider them in its business decisions. To this end, Audi uses different digital formats and individual one-on-one discussions, is involved in various initiatives and is a member of numerous committees ( see page 331). The materiality analysis represents one of the most central elements of stakeholder management. The company has been conducting it about every two years since 2012. In 2019, Audi used an online survey to ask 3,206 internal and external stakeholders for their assessment of relevant sustainability issues of the company 1 Audi regards material stakeholder groups as internal and external groups of individuals that are affected directly or indirectly by the company’s business activities. The identification of the respective stakeholders is fundamentally based on their expertise and their ability to influence Audi.

. / KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS OF GROUP MANAGEMENT The basis for the management of the Audi Group is a valueoriented corporate management approach in combination with the following key performance indicators, which are important drivers of our corporate development and support the goals of our strategy: > Deliveries to customers of the Audi brand > Revenue > Operating profit/operating return on sales > Return on investment (ROI) > Net cash flow > Research and development ratio > Ratio of capex The non-financial indicator of deliveries to customers reflects the number of new vehicles of the Audi brand handed over to customers. This performance indicator reflects demand from customers for our products and reveals our competitive and image position in the various markets worldwide. Strong demand for our products has a major impact on production, and consequently also on the capacity utilization of our sites and the deployment of our workforce. In addition, a continuing high level of vehicle deliveries reflects high customer satisfaction. The financial key performance indicators include Audi Group revenue, which is a financial reflection of our market success. Another key performance indicator is the operating profit of the Audi Group. This key figure represents the economic performance of our core business as well as the economic performance of our fundamental operational activity, and is defined as follows: Revenue – Cost of goods sold – Distribution costs – Administrative expenses + Other operating income – Other operating expenses = Operating profit Our financial key performance indicators also include the operating return on sales of the Audi Group: Operating return on sales = Operating profit Revenue A further key performance indicator is return on investment (ROI). This reflects how effective our business activities are, by considering the return achieved on the capital employed over a given period.

Peter Kössler: We are consistently working on change – in all of the corporate divisions. The transformation to a net-zero carbon emissions company is well underway, and it's also expressed by the fact that we are using resources in the most responsible manner and adding closed loops where we can. One example of this is the Aluminum Closed Loop. The aluminum sheet offcuts that are produced in the press shop are sent directly back to the supplier, which then processes and recycles them. We are subsequently reusing these reprocessed aluminum sheets in the production process. This enabled Audi to save around 150,000 tons of CO₂ on balance in 2019 alone. And we will be able to save even more in the future. Another example is Europe’s largest photovoltaic roof system, which we dedicated a few weeks ago at Audi Hungaria in Győr. Audi promises to unleash the beauty of sustainable mobility, and to do it profitably. How is it possible to bridge the gap between these two factors? Peter Kössler: Electric mobility is a prime example of our acting Sustainability is part of the strategy – and it is important to talk about it. As a company, we are no longer just focusing on the vehicle, but increasingly on the ecosystem surrounding the entire electric car as well. Thus, we offer our customers smart charging solutions from photovoltaic electricity that we have generated. At the same time, it’s clear that we as a manufacturer cannot take on the expansion of the charging infrastructure alone. We need the support of politicians and society. But those who make demands must also be willing to deliver. And I can truly say: We're doing that. The Audi Forum Neckarsulm opened on 10 May 2005; a permanent historical exibition on the top floor recalls the history of the NSU brand. Its architectural design is very impressive and the round glass building is a dominant feature of the Audi Forum Ingolstadt. In terms of urban planning, it represents the entrance to the plant site; substantively it embraces concepts such as transparency and mobility. Behind a fully glazed façade, its exceptional architecture follows the principle of the growth rings on a tree trunk, symbolically uniting perpetuity and change. The museum building adds the finishing touch to the Audi Piazza. This is the company’s reception point and grouped around an open square lined with trees you will find the vehicle delivery facility, the Forum with self-service restaurant and the Avus restaurant on the first floor, the museum and the “Market and customer” building. Audi Forum Ingolstadt 20 years Audi Tradition 7 Anniversary Dates 2020 “An enthusiasts’ car with great charisma”; this was how Audi’s chairman at the time, Dr. Herbert Demel, described the Audi TT prototype design that was unveiled at the 1995 Frankfurt International Motor Show. The open-top version was first presented at the Tokyo Motor Show in the same year. Both show cars captivated audiences with their mix of design features including curves, radii, circles and straight lines. Car lovers who were eager to buy ultimately demanded the construction of the compact sports car based on the new transverse engine platform. The Board decided in 1995 to continue to develop both vehicles to make them ready for production. The 28-month period of development that followed resulted in some technical modifications. On the other hand, the striking shape of the design icon remained untouched, apart from a few minor details.

A detailed CAD model was brought to life starting with a solid aluminum billet, which was then machined on a CNC lathe, laser engraved and assembled with its final details, a combined total of 250 man-hours.
